The Gujarat Titans (GT) will miss their premier bowler, Kagiso Rabada, who has returned home to South Africa for personal reasons. The team announced this ahead of their match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Kagiso Rabada, bought for 10.75 crores at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, was the lead pacer for the Gujarat Titans this season, alongside Mohammed Siraj. However, he had a difficult start in his first two games, taking 1 wicket for 41 runs in his debut and 1 wicket for 42 runs in his second match.

In his absence during the last match, Ishant Sharma stepped in and delivered a strong performance against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

The Gujarat Titans confirmed that Kagiso Rabada is returning to South Africa due to an important personal matter. However, the timeline for his return is unknown, as the team did not provide any additional information in their statement.

Despite this setback, the Gujarat Titans have had a solid start to their campaign, winning 2 out of the 3 matches that Rabada played. The team has performed well overall, with players stepping up as match-winners in various games. GT will next face the SRH on April 6th at 3:30 PM in a doubleheader on Sunday, April 06.
