The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the venues for warm-up matches for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The tournament will begin on June 12 next year and the warm-up fixtures will help teams prepare before the marquee event starts.
Three venues across England and Wales, Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens, Derby County Ground and Loughborough University, have been designated to host the warm-up matches.

Venues for Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Warm-Up Matches Announced
The ICC has chosen three venues for the warm-up matches: Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, County Ground, Derby and Loughborough University.
"All three venues share a rich cricketing pedigree and have played a part in propelling women’s cricket on to the global stage. They will play a prominent role in showcasing elite women’s cricket to local fans before the start of the tournament," the ICC said as quoted in a press release.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played from June 12 to July 5 across seven venues in England and Wales. A total of 33 matches will be played. The final will take place at Lord’s on July 5.
So far, eight teams have qualified. Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan, and two qualifier teams form Group 1, while England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and two qualifier teams will be a part of Group 2.
The remaining four spots will be filled through a Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier scheduled for early 2026.
The opening match of the competition is scheduled between England and Sri Lanka, which will be held in Birmingham on June 12.
