England skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt suffered a groin injury during the 2nd T20I of the 5-match series, causing her to miss the remainder of the games, with Tammy Beaumont leading the team.
Now nearing full fitness, the skipper returns to the ODI squad to face India, as England announced their squad for the 3-match ODI series starting on 16th July.
Ecclestone Returns as Edwards Names ODI Squad; Glenn Misses Out
England's head coach, Charlotte Edwards, named the ODI squad, with Sophie Ecclestone notably returning from injury. Maia Bouchier was added to strengthen the batting line-up, and Lauren Filer earned a spot in the squad. Meanwhile, Sarah Glenn misses out.
“The squad has largely stayed the same since the ODI series against West Indies, but Soph (Ecclestone) comes back into the side, meaning Sarah Glenn misses out this time,” Edwards said.
“We've also added Maia Bouchier to bolster our batting and keep competition for places strong.

Edwards emphasized that this match will kickstart their World Cup preparations, and they are determined to win the series as the first step on the road to the tournament.
“This series is the perfect preparation for the ICC Women's World Cup in India this autumn, but it’s also a series we’re determined to win,” she concluded.
