Summary

Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Joe Root are nearing key milestones at Lord's in the third Test of the five-match series.

Records That Can Tumble At Lord's

Lord's is all set to host the third Test between England and India starting from July 10. The test match is level at 1-1 after England won the first Test at Headingley and India won the second Test at Edgbaston.

India's win at Edgbaston was a historic one as it was their first-ever Test win at the venue in nine attempts. Shubman Gill was the hero with the bat for India. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep stepped up with the ball in Jasprit Bumrah's absence.

The third Test is poised to be an epic contest with a green pitch on offer for the two sides. However, Lord's is a venue where batters enjoy getting runs and they might just score heavily.

Three Records That Can Be Broken in Lord's Test

Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Joe Root are nearing key milestones at Lord's and here is a look at what they might achieve at the Home of Cricket.

Gill Can Surpass Dravid, Kohli

Shubman Gill, the Indian skipper can surpass former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid for the most runs scored by an Indian batter against England in a Test series. The record is currently held by Dravid who scored 602 runs in the 2002 series. Gill has already scored 585 runs in the first two Tests and has a real chance to go past Dravid at Lord's.

Shubman Gill can also surpass Virat Kohli's record at Lord's. Both Gill and Kohli have five centuries against England and Gill has a real chance to surpass even this record at Lord's. If he does, he joins Mohammed Azharuddin, the former Indian skipper who scored six tons against England. Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid scored even each.

Joe Root Nearing 3000 Test Runs Against India
