Cricketer-turned-expert Harbhajan Singh has slammed Delhi Capitals (DC) for their tactics after being knocked out of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season. DC were handed a thumping 59-run loss by Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, May 21. The former off-spinner stated the DC have only been learning over the past 18 years and is not too much interested on a longer goal - to win Championships.
Harbhajan also stressed on the point that DC should look to focus on building the missing players from the squad for the next IPL 2026 season.

“There's a famous dialogue going on right now. Either we win, or we learn. There's only learning for them, no winning. Add one more year of learning here. They have to focus on where they missed out. They didn't select the right players in the auction. They had such good players in the middle order that they could have chosen but didn't. They didn't shop well in the auction,” said Harbhajan on Star Sports.
Delhi Capitals fail to sustain early momentum as they crash out of IPL 2025 season after promising start
For the unversed, the Capitals started the IPL 2025 tournament with a bang, by winning four games on the bounce. At that point, it looked like DC would easily make the playoffs. However, the script changed drastically in the next nine games, as DC could win just two games. They failed to latch on the early momentum and thus became the fourth team to crash out of the IPL 2025 season.
