July 7 marked the ninth wedding anniversary of Suryakumar Yadav, the T20I skipper of India and his wife Devisha Shetty. On this occasion, he had a cheeky wish for his wife.

SKY was announced as India's new T20I skipper post the T20 World Cup 2024. Meanwhile, he got married in 2016 with Devish whom he had been dating since 2010.

The two are among the power couples within the Indian cricket fraternity. SKY keeps posting images with his wife on his social media handles.

SKY's Anniversary Wish For His Wife Devisha

On the occasion of his ninth wedding anniversary, Suryakumar Yadav posted a wish for his wife on his official Instagram handle. He wished his wife in his own unique way for staying by his side for nearly a decade.

"Happy Anniversary to the only person who can put up with me😁! Love you ❤️🧿" he wrote on his official Instagram handle.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav recently had his sports hernia surgery in Munich, Germany after the IPL and is currently recovering. SKY scored 16 25-plus scores in the season and finished the season with 717 runs, the highest by a non-opener in IPL and the highest by an MI batter in a single season.

SKY was a part of India's T20 World Cup-winning squad. He is fondly remembered for the catch he took of David Miller in the final over of the T20 World Cup final bowled by Hardik Pandya.

June 29 marked the first anniversary of India's second T20 World Cup win. Rohit Sharma who led India to the title looked back on the catch and described how he felt at that moment.

"Everyone's heart was in their mouth. I thought it was a six, I was standing opposite to Surya. It would have taken a lot of effort to take the catch. But the wind pulled the ball into the ground. Umpires were checking, and I asked him (Surya), 'Tu hi bata" Rohit told JioStar.

SKY Was Key To India Winning T20 World Cup 2024.

SKY's impeccable catch helped India break their ICC World Cup jinx after 11 years. Rohit then won the ICC Champions Trophy in March 2025 to help India win two back-to-back ICC titles inside 10 months. Surya scored 199 runs in 8 matches at an average of 28.43 in the tournament.
