There are numerous milestones & achievements that the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has unlocked in his 24-year-long career. Choosing one among his numerous accomplishments is a challenging task. However, Sara Tendulkar, the former player's daughter, has picked her favorite cricketing memory of her father.
In a recent interview with India Today, Sara was asked to choose her all-time best memory of Tendulkar. Interestingly, she did not pick any of his 100 centuries, nor any of his trademark shots, as her picks. Instead, Sara chose to pick his farewell Test against the West Indies in 2013. For the entrepreneur, attending matches in her childhood only meant enjoying the vibe and electric atmosphere without even fully realizing what her father exactly meant to Cricket fans across India. However, things changed for her in 2013, as she was mature enough to understand what Tendulkar meant to billions of people and fans.

“If I have to pick one vivid memory, then I would pick his retirement match. I was old enough to really understand what that meant at that point. When I was younger, I went for the games, but I never really grasped the enormity of them,” said Sara.
Sachin Tendulkar's farewell Test, more than just a match
Notably, Tendulkar's farewell Test series was more than a match, as it was emotional to a lot of fans, a thank you from them to their favorite player, a tribute to what he achieved in all the 24 years he played for India since making his debut in 1989 as a 16-year-old prodigy. It was a momentous occasion as each of his fans bid goodbye to their hero.

Fans were seen shedding happy and sorrowful tears, legends paid tribute to the cricketing icon, and to top it all, Sachin's five-minute emotional speech made everyone's hearts full. For Sara, who was standing alongside mother Anjali and brother Arjun, it was the first time she realized the magnitude her father had on people's lives.
